Faustian wraiths, plebian clerisy
Forms of men cast in molten gold
Fidelity is heresy
No way back, eradicate the old
Seal off all retreat
Til at last the hammer falls
Realm without limits
Prison without walls
Compassion is performance
Live and die in the machine
My brother is a stranger
A merchant as my king
The lesser is the greater
Virtue is for the slave
End of the Endless
Repudiate the brave
I cannot look you in the eye
I cannot speak what we can see
How many have I silenced?
How long have I been afraid?
How many valiant deeds have I mocked to cover my own shame?
How long have I lied along with you?
You stare mesmerized by your own image, but you are alone.
In the lie we are all alone
In the lie we are all alone
In the lie we are all alone
And we are all of us damned
A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024
Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass).
Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit
